This procedure will remove the password and set a Cisco WS-C3524-XL-EN Switch to default settings.

Model: Cisco WS-C3524-XL-EN
Console Cable: Cisco Blue

WARNING: This procedure will remove all configuration information from the switch. Make sure to backup any configuration information before proceeding.

Step 1: Hold the MODE button on the switch while powering on the switch.
Step 2: Hold until the light on Port 1 Goes off
Step 3: From the ROM menu type: flash_init
Step 4: From the ROM menu type: load_helper
Step 5: From the ROM menu type: delete flash:/config.text
Step 6: From the ROM menu type: boot
